Why does light still come through the edges of my blackout roller blind?
Every inside-mounted roller blind needs small side gaps to operate. The brackets and clutch need clearance. The fix is side channels that the fabric slides into. Or an outside mount that covers the whole frame. We do both.
Inside mount or outside mount: which is better?
Outside mount blocks more light. It covers the full window opening. Inside mount looks neater but always leaves edge gaps. For meeting rooms, choose outside mount with side channels. For living areas, inside mount is fine.
